Job Description
BuildSpire is seeking an experienced and highly skilled MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer to join our team. As an MEP Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing the installation and operation of MEP systems for a variety of building projects. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineers to ensure that MEP services are effectively integrated into architectural designs while maintaining compliance with safety and sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
- Review architectural plans and coordinate MEP systems with the building design to ensure functionality and efficiency.
- Conduct detailed calculations to establish load requirements for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Select appropriate equipment, materials, and systems that meet project specifications and standards.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and documentation for MEP systems.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure MEP system integration and resolve any design challenges.
- Perform regular site visits and inspections to monitor the installation process and resolve issues on-site.
- Implement sustainable and energy-efficient solutions in the design and execution of MEP systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an MEP Engineer in construction or real estate projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other design and simulation software.
- Excellent understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
