Job Description
BuildSpire is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the strength, stability, and durability of our architectural designs. You will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to develop safe and efficient structural designs that meet regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and evaluate the structural components of buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed calculations, reports, and structural drawings to ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and project requirements.
- Conduct structural analysis using software tools to ensure the integrity of materials such as steel, concrete, and timber.
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and construction teams to integrate structural systems with overall project design.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and troubleshoot any structural issues that arise.
- Evaluate potential design modifications and suggest innovative, cost-effective solutions to improve structural performance.
- Prepare documentation for building approvals, permits, and certifications, ensuring all designs meet regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Structural Engineer in real estate or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis, design principles, and building codes.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar).
- Excellent understanding of materials like steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to create detailed structural drawings and reports using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
